I fully agree Dave. Some folks are down and out because life smacked them around and it wasnt their fault. Im all for helping them, and I do quite often. I dont know if it is OCD, but Im more extreme than most people I know. I only wash in cold, I line dry my clothes, outside in summer, in garage in winter. I have a thermometer that reads both inside and outside temperatures, so I know when it gets warmer outside than inside so I can close windows. I unplug everything, I actually use my laptop battery and plug it back in only when the charge is low. I unplug my electric toothrush all week, charge one night a week. I only run appliances on off peak times. I time my families showers and weve all cut a few minutes off, I now take navy showers wet down, turn off water, soap up, rinse off done. Insulated my garge doors, installed attic fan. My hot water heater is energy star and on the lowest setting. Our showers arent very hot.
